Green Man Picks NFL

Last week I went 5-7 losing in the last 2 games in gutshot fashion, stupid Seahawks. Anyway, we'll see if I can do any better this week, if you'd like to try then email me your picks and nick name and I'll publish it, it is tougher than it looks. wesallenthree@gmail.com My buddy Patrick Green aka the Green man sent me some this week. Here are our picks with his commentary.

Falcons v Panthers

I like the Panthers, in the upset. The falcons haven’t shown me anything all season and the Panthers with Cam Newton can always run off a hot streak or two. I can easily see them ending the game by giving up a last second field goal. Falcons +7.5 Wes: Panthers

Vikings v Cowboys

The Vikings defense has been pathetic all season and the offense has been anemic with the carousel at QB. I like the Cowboys to put up 40+ against the Vikings. I like the Cowboys. Cowboys +10 Wes: Cowboys

Saints v Jets

The Saints and Drew Brees are having their usual season. Circus offense, circus numbers by Brees and their core of receivers. I like “Seanny P” more than “Morbidly obese now I’m oddly skinny” Rex Ryan and I think the Saints will put a pounding on the Jets. Saints -7 Wes: Jets

Titans v Rams

The Rams have had an up and down season, much like the Titans. The game is Titans +3 and I like the Rams just because of the power of Jeff Fischer. Titans -3 Titans Wes: Titans

Chiefs v Bills

The Bills are a strong defensive team, but I’m not going to go against Andy Reid and the Chiefs until they lose one. I like the Chiefs at a meager +4. Chiefs -4 Wes: Chiefs

Chargers v Redskins

I don’t understand why, but sportsbook had this game as a toss up. I haven’t seen anything from RGIII this year, and as much as I want to believe in him, he’s let me down every single week I’ve started him in fantasy. I like the Chargers. Wes: Chargers

Eagles v Raiders

Chip Kelly and his Eagles have been the messiahs of the spread offenses introduction to the NFL. However, without the talent that Chip Kelly needs, they’ve struggled mightily. I’m looking for them to put a few plays together this week against the porous Raider Defense. I’ll take the Eagles +2.5 Wes: Raiders

Seahawks v Buccaneers

The Seahawks are probably the overall league frontrunner for the Super Bowl, and Pete Carroll can do no wrong. Greg Schiano and his team of MRSA Riddled rejects are going to stay unvictorious this week. Seahawks by a ton. Seahawks +16 Wes: Seahawks

Ravens v Browns

The Ravens defense has been rounding into their usual fierce selves lately, but the Browns have shown resiliency in the face of injuries and management trading away their best players. If the Browns had any kind of quarterback I would like them here…but they don’t and for some reason something is telling me to just shut my eyes and take the Browns this weekend. So I will. Ravens -2.5 Wes: Ravens

Steelers v Patriots

Bellicheck and the Patriots always find a way to win. I like them against the struggling Steelers. Steelers +6.5 Wes: Pats

Colts v Texans

The Texans have been one of the biggest disappointments of the season and the Colts have looked strong under the leadership of the 2nd year phenom Andrew Luck. I like the Colts. Colts -3 Wes: Texans

Monday

Bears v Packers

I like Rodgers and the Pack in this one. The Bears are banged up and so are the Packers. The difference? The Packers still have their leader in Rodgers. I think the Packers will win, but I like the Bears to cover on this one. Packers -11 Wes: Bears
